Songwriting is a science and an art. Al can help you explore lyric writing, melody, harmony and rhythm while working to increase your creative flow and overcome ‘writer’s block’. Sessions will be tailored to the individual and designed to help people find their own unique songwriting voice. If you want to perform, Al can help you build the confidence to face an audience; if you’re interested in recording your songs, Al can help you learn the production skills necessary to present you music to the world.
Al offers a unique program of study tailored to the individual with an emphasis on students having a firm grasp of music theory and the ability to master not only the music they enjoy listening to but also their own, original compositions. Where appropriate, the learning takes place using a state of the art portable recording facility, enabling the student to take away custom made backing tracks and professional quality recordings of original compositions. Acoustic or electric; most styles catered for; any age and ability welcome.
Music Tech Lessons

He uses a state-of-the-art portable recording setup based around a MacBook Pro running Logic Pro X, or alternatively, he can help you find your way around your own hardware and choice of software. Learn to use a digital audio workstation creatively to write your own music, using powerful editing features along the way.
